The African Institute
The African Institute was founded in 2008 with a mission to promote partnership between Poland and Africa. The Institute’s Founder is Hon. John Abraham Godson, the first black member of the Polish Parliament, who originally comes from Nigeria.
Since the inception, the African Institute has organized several Economic Forums, the foremost of which is the Polish-Africa Economic Forum in the Polish Parliament that brings together more than 500 political and business leaders from over 30 countries. The African Institute also organizes the Africa Day in the Polish Parliament, during which the Friend of Africa Award is granted to eminent Poles who have promoted Polish-Africa partnership. Further, the African Institute organizes trade missions to African countries and from African countries to Poland. The African Institute also supports developmental projects in Africa which include- Kenya, Ghana, Rwanda, Zambia and Nigeria.
Being proud of all the successes achieved since the inception of the African Institute, we are fully aware of the fact that only imagination and hard work is what divides us from achieving further successes, which we want to achieve with you and only with you. No matter whether you have specific idea for co-operation with the African Institute, or if you simply would like to say “Hi!” – we cordially invite you to contact us and we are looking forward to meeting you face-to-face in Nigeria soon!
